Just for grins, I though I'd do a product review/comparison. I'm going to compare 2 coats, 1 from Xxxxxx Lama Items, and the comparable from Cabin Criations. I am an FAA Licensed parachute rigger, so I'm accustomed to looking at construction techniques. The construction materials were similar, if not identical. The overall construction methods were identical, with a couple of exceptions. The neck and girth straps are longer on The Cabin Criations coat, giving it more flexibility for sizing, a plus for them. The Cabin Criations coat is a bit longer, we've been in the 70's, so haven't actually used it, not sure if it's a plus or not, but for a larger cria, I guess it would be a plus. Two major pluses for the Cabin Criations coats: There is considerably more velcro, which will be of great use when that 5 month old decides he wants to pull on the straps that your newborn has. The second major plus is the way the velcro is attached. The Xxxxxx Items coat has a single row of stitches, the Cabin Criations has multiple rows. With use, the single row soon needs repair, we've needed to do it a few times, as we always do it when we need the coat immediately, and I never remember to go back and reinforce it.

All in all, I'll vote for the coat by Cabin Criations. Even if the price was the same, I'd still vote the same way.

Thank you SO much, Cabin Cria-Tions!! We received the coat this morning that we ordered just 3 days ago and it's fabulous!! Beautifully made, feels wonderful and I know it will help our poor little suri guy so much!! It feels like 13 degrees here mid-day with the windchill altho the temps say about mid-20's and it supposed to be those single-digit temps tonight, with the wind still whipping. We're SO glad to have this!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Hi Geri, I don’t think most of your customers know how much work and love you put into your product, but I do. I sew and up until I ordered from you I made all my cria coats myself. I also have a couple of coats that we have won as premiums at shows, but to tell the truth I don’t even use these as they just don’t “measure up”. Long long story short, even though I work full time plus design and maintain 6 websites, do logo/ad design and take care of 50 animals…until I purchased your coats, I still made all the coats for my babies. I want you to know what a valuable service you provide. My animals (both alpaca and llama) are more comfortable and likely healthier and my burden is lightened by your quality materials and workmanship. Just wanted to thank you.

Hi Geri, The custom-made hay rectangle arrived today. I’m very pleased with it. It fits the “hay wagon” perfectly, works so much better than what I’d rigged up with cut cattle panels, plastic ties and bungees and is way safer for my alpacas. It’s absolutely great!

We are using the steel oval hay grates, and they are working very well. A noticeable decrease in hay waste. As we expand I am sure we will want more.

I have an aqua yearling coat that is just beautiful. It fits our larger juveniles, as well as the yearlings, after they are shorn and the wide chest straps and belly straps cover them almost completely. We shear in early May and it ALWAYS goes to winter temps right after! The coats have helped us every year at the New England Alpaca Fest. Other folks' sheared guys shiver and ours are comfy and happy.
